Can I send a physical/shipped gift through Kudoboard? (Snappy FAQs)

Yes! Kudoboard is excited to partner with Snappy to deliver physical/shipped gifts to your recipients alongside the digital Kudoboard experience.

Now, when creating a board, you can choose to attach either a physical/shipped gift or a digital gift card. With Snappy for physical/shipped gifts, you and your team contribute to the gift budget, and recipients can use those funds to select a gift from a curated catalog.

What countries are supported for Snappy gifts?

Physical/shipped gifts are available to be shipped to the following countries:

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Canada
  • Ireland
  • Germany
  • France
  • Switzerland
  • Spain
  • Netherlands
  • Belgium
  • Italy
  • Poland

Note: If you are not located in one of the above countries, we do not make the physical/shipped gifting option available to you as a board creator.  And if you choose the delivered gift option but your recipient is not in a supported country, we'll automatically offer them a digital gift card instead. 

How do I include a physical/shipped gift?

To add a Snappy gift to your board, during the creation process, when you reach the Include a gift or gift card? option, select Yes, and then Delivered gift from the dropdown.

You can choose to allow only yourself to contribute to the gift budget, or let anyone contribute.

In addition, you can choose to collect funds in the following currencies: USD, EUR, AUD, CAD, and GBP.

Note: If you opt out of a gift during the creation process or choose Online gift card and later change your mind, you can always choose a different gifting option in the Settings menu of your board at any time under the Gift section prior to funds being added to the board.

How does the recipient choose a gift?

When you deliver the Kudoboard via our delivery system, the recipient will be able to redeem the funds for a delivered gift from the "redeem" button on the Kudoboard or directly from the delivery email: 

After clicking Redeem Gift, they'll be asked to confirm their location, and we'll then automatically redirect them to the Gift Redemption page. This page will include a rotating selection of curated gift options from thousands of potential options offered by Snappy:

What happens if the recipient can't find a gift they like?

The recipient will be reminded that they have a gift waiting to redeem. If they cannot find a gift that suits them from the collection provided by Kudoboard, they can contact Snappy support at https://www.snappy.com/support to access a wider selection of gift options beyond the collection curated for Kudoboard users.

Aside from the cost of the gift, what fees are associated with gifting on Kudoboard?

For any ad-hoc gift paid for by credit card on Kudoboard (whether an online gift card or a physical/shipped gift), there is a small fee to cover the cost of credit card processing.

For physical/shipped gifts via Snappy, there is also a 15% service fee that covers the cost of logistics (e.g. shipping), curation, and customer support.  This fee, along with any sales tax required of your recipient's shipping destination, comes out of the overall gift budget you include along with your Kudoboard delivery.

Please note: if you are on a Kudoboard Enterprise Plan and plan to send out gifts in bulk, please contact your account manager for reduced fee options to consider by paying via ACH, etc.

Can my recipient choose a gift at any budget?

Gifts curated by Snappy for Kudoboard are available for budgets between 50 and 500 USD, EUR, and GPB, and 75 and 500 CAD and AUD. If you attach an amount outside this range, your recipient will be prompted to choose a gift card redemption instead.

For Snappy gifts, the price bands of available gifts for selection are set narrowly to encourage recipients to choose a gift as close as possible to your budget.  Any nominal difference in price between the budget and the cost of the gift is retained by Snappy.

What if I don't know what gift my recipient's taste in gifts, or where to ship it?

All that you need to do is make a contribution for the gift.  Your recipient selects the item they'd like from a curated set of options and puts in their own address for delivery!
