Can I create a custom eCard theme (card cover, background, envelope color)?

Yes! On Business, Pro, and Enterprise plans, you can create custom card themes. You can create ones that are only visible and selectable by you, and as an Org Admin, you can create ones that are visible and selectable by everyone on your plan by adding them to your brand assets.

Creating a custom card theme for yourself

1. After creating your card, click Appearance in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

   

2. Under Theme, click Change on the preview of the current theme.
   

3. Then, navigate to the Custom tab where you'll see a + Create new button. Click that button to start creating your custom theme.

   

4. Under the Card tab, you can: 
   1. Upload a JPG or PNG as the cover of your card. We recommend a portrait-oriented image with a minimum size of 1750x2500px for the best results. You'll be able to crop your image to the size of the card front after upload as well. 
   2. Choose a font for the message of your card.
   3. Choose a card texture that will show behind your message and media.

   4. Choose an effect that will play when the recipient opens the card during the intro animation.

      

5. Under the Envelope tab, you can: 
   1. Choose a font for the title on the envelope.
   2. Choose to show or hide the stamp on the envelope, as well as pick from any available logos on your plan to replace the Kudoboard logo on the stamp.
   3. Pick an envelope color.
   4. Choose an envelope lining.
      
6. Under the Background tab, you can: 
   1. Add an image or solid color background to show behind your card and envelope. When uploading a JPG or PNG image background, we recommend an image of at least 1500x1500px for the best results. You'll be able to crop the image to fit before uploading as well.
      

Once you're happy with all of your custom selections, go ahead and click Save to save the custom theme to your library. Then, to apply your custom theme, simply click the theme thumbnail under the Custom tab. And, if you'd like to edit any of your custom themes, click the Edit button on the theme thumbnail instead.

Note: Any custom themes you create here will only be visible/selectable by you, and will be available on any cards you create moving forward.

Creating a custom card theme for everyone (Org Admins only)

1. Navigate to your Admin Panel.

   

2. Then go to the Brand Assets tab.
   
3. Under the Card themes tab, click + Create new to create a new custom card theme for anyone
   registered on your plan to select when creating a card - you'll see the same options outlined above. 
   
4. After creating a theme(s), they'll show on this page under the Library header, and you can select them to edit or delete them at any time.
