Although gift card contributions are processed in USD, EUR, AUD, CAD, or GBP (depending on the currency that the board creator chooses to collect in) individuals are free to contribute to a gift card using a debit/credit card from countries around the world. Note: Contributors outside of the currency in use on the board for gift card donations will want to be mindful of currency conversion rates and any other fees that their specific card provider/bank might charge for currency conversion.
When a gift card recipient goes to redeem, they can redeem their gift card into numerous currencies based on their location, as listed here.
