We commonly see Kudoboard used to host competitions, contests and raffles. Here are a few ways we see our customers host various competitions for events like Halloween Costume Contests, Gratitude Giving contests, best recipe showdowns and more:
Count Post Reactions as Votes & Award the Post with the Most Reactions
Board creator adds a directional post to the board so contributors know what's expected of them.
Example directional post for a Halloween costume contest: "Add a post of your own to submit your Halloween costume into the running, and add a reaction to someone else's post who you think should win. We'll decide the winner on November 1st so all votes should be submitted by then!"
-
Participants submit their their contest entry by posting their photo(s) directly
to the board.Example contest entry: Employee posts a photo of their Halloween costume on the board.
-
Others react with emojis as "votes" on the post they want to win.
Example vote: Employee reacts to their favorite post with a heart emoji to submit their vote.
-
Finally, the board creator exports post data from the board settings to easily identify which post received the most reactions.
Determine the winner: The employee with the most reactions on their posts in the data export wins the contest. Consider sending the winner a gift right through Kudoboard.

Example directional post for a gratitude giving event: "Add as many posts to the board as you'd like to shout out a teammate throughout Q3. If you post on this board sometime during the month of September, you'll get entered into a raffle to win a free stereo!"
-
At the end of your event, export the post data from your board to collect the names of all of the contributors who posted. Enter those names into a separate raffle.
