Templates are created from existing boards and, by default, can be accessed and used by all users on your plan.
While logged in as an Org Admin:
1. View your Dashboard and find the board that you'd like to use to create your template. Click the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the board preview card and choose Make a template.
2. A modal will appear, letting you know what making a template entails. All current board settings and posts will be copied over to the template, and the template will be placed in the Templates tab on the left-hand side of your Dashboard for you and all other users on the plan to use.
The Templates tab will appear under Admin for all Org Admins and under Kudoboards for all other users.
3. As a regular user or Org Admin, to use a template, navigate to the Templates tab shown above and click Use template.

Enter the requested information, then click Create. You'll be taken to the board created from that template and can edit, invite, and schedule delivery (for Special Occasion boards), as you typically would for any other board you create.
5. As an Org Admin, to edit or delete a template, navigate to the Templates tab shown above. Click the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the template preview card to see these options in a dropdown menu.
- Restrict use to Admins: this will restrict the use of the template to Org Admins on your plan only. The template will be removed from the Templates tab of all other users.
- Delete: this will permanently remove the template from your view and all other users' views as well. This action can not be undone.
-
Edit: as an Org Admin, you can edit the appearance, settings, title, and posts on a template.
The template editor will look as follows, where you can toggle between Appearance & Settings to access different editing options. Clicking + Add to board will add a post to the template and posts can be edited using the ellipses in the bottom left-hand corner of each post. All changes will be applied to any future boards created using that template.
Note: The templates feature is only available for use on desktop/laptop devices. You can not view, use, or edit a template from a mobile device.
Tip: To make each board created via your template a little bit unique, under Appearance > Board background, you can use the dropdown menu to Randomize backgrounds for each created board using that template!
