There are a few ways to invite contributors to post on your Kudoboard: sending the board via email by way of kudoboard.com, sending the contributors a direct link or QR code to the Kudoboard, sharing the board via social media, and sending the board via Slack or Teams by way of kudoboard.com (only on Pro & Enterprise plan boards).
Inviting contributors is done in the board's editor view, so you'll want to see an eye icon to the upper right of the title that says View as Recipient. If you see a pencil icon that says View as Editor, please click that button to get to editor view.
Here's what you should see:
How to invite contributors via kudoboard.com using the email option:
1. Open the Kudoboard.
2. To the upper left of the title click the Invite Contributors button which includes a people icon with a plus sign.
3. Select the Email option.
4. Enter the email addresses of the contributors you'd like to invite in the Add contributor email, group, or paste a list field.
5. Write an optional, custom message in the Share added context or a deadline for contributors box. Then choose whether to CC contributors on the invitation and/or send a reminder email to invited contributors 24 hours prior to the scheduled delivery if they have not yet added to the board.
6. Check the I'm Not a Robot box and click Send invites.
Tip: You can preview the invite email by clicking Preview to the right of Send invites.
7. Kudoboard will send an invitation email to the listed email addresses for you that will look something like...
And, if you decided to opt out of adding context or a deadline via a custom message:
Note: These emails include the deadline to contribute, added by Kudoboard, because the board was scheduled for delivery by the creator prior to sending the invites.
How to invite contributors via direct link, QR code, or social media:
1. Open the Kudoboard. The Kudoboard you've created can be found in your Dashboard. You can also invite contributors if you didn't create the board.
2. To the upper left of the title click the Invite Contributors button which includes a people icon with a plus sign.
3. Select the Direct Link option to send the board via direct link. Click Copy Link to copy the link to your clipboard.
4. Craft an email, text, or any other kind of message outside of Kudoboard asking your contributors to post on the board, and paste the link in that message.
- Alternatively, select the QR code option to download your Kudoboard's unique QR code. This code can be sent to contributors via the messaging service of your choice (by default the QR code is a PNG file), however, we find that the best use for the QR codes is on printed invitations or in-person events where you'd like individuals to contribute to the board during the event.
Tip: Consider copying and customizing this template that displays your board's QR code in break rooms, front offices, or other highly trafficked areas to drive more in-person engagement.
- Finally, select the Social option to share your Kudoboard via social media. You can choose to share your board on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn.
How to invite contributors via kudoboard.com using the Slack or Teams option (Only available on Pro and Enterprise plans):
1. Open the Kudoboard.
2. To the upper left of the title click the Invite Contributors button which includes a people icon with a plus sign.

4. The invite option will default to Invite via direct message. Fill in the Slack or Teams usernames of the contributors you'd like to invite in the Invitee(s) field.
5. You can also choose to Invite in channel under the Invite method dropdown. In this case, you'll add the channel name and users you'd like to tag (optional).
6. Write an optional, custom message in the Share context or a deadline for contributors box.
7. Check the I'm Not a Robot box and click Send Invites.
You're all done inviting contributors! If your board starts to fill up, keep in mind that it's ok to upgrade your board at any time. Also, don't forget to read up on how to deliver your Kudoboard to the recipient.
