Manager notifications are available on Enterprise plans only. They allow users to notify the manager of an individual who is receiving a Kudoboard or who is being tagged in a post on a Kudoboard.
Note: Manager notifications are only available if manager data is synced via manual upload or HRIS integration.
If you'd like to turn manager notifications on, as an Org Admin, navigate to the Settings tab of your Admin Panel. At the very bottom of the page, to the right of Enable manager notifications?, choose Yes.
Be sure to click Save changes to confirm your selection.
Notify someone's manager when delivering
1. On the board or card you've created, navigate to the Delivery settings.
2. If you haven't already, enter the name and email address of the individual you're delivering to. If that individual has a manager assigned to them (editable in the Users tab of the Admin Panel), a checkbox will appear under the custom message section that says Also notify their manager.
3. Check that box to let their manager know that they have been sent a Kudoboard. Then click Deliver now (to deliver the board ASAP), Schedule (to schedule the board for delivery at a future time), or Save changes (to save your settings and come back to deliver or schedule delivery later).
4. Once your board or card is delivered, their manager will be notified of the delivery via email (as will they).
Notify someone's manager when tagging
1. When crafting your message, type @ or click the @ symbol in the lower left-hand corner of the text field.
2. In the box that appears, enter the email address and name of the individual you'd like to tag. If that individual has a manager assigned to them (editable in the Users tab of your Admin Panel), a checkbox will appear at the bottom of the box that says Also notify their manager.
3. Check that box to let their manager know that they have been tagged in a post. Then click Tag.
4. Once your post is added to the board, their manager will be notified of that tag via email (as will they).
