Tagging is only available on Business, Pro, and Enterprise plans and Company Event boards. Tagging can be enabled by the board creator, board admins, and org admins to allow contributors to notify a person about a post.
Creating a Shout out or Company Event board? Great news! Tagging is automatically enabled on these boards (and can always be turned off from the board settings).
To enable tagging on a Special Occasion board:
- When viewing a board click the Settings button (gear icon on the top right).
- Scroll to the Engagement section of the Settings drawer.
- Click the toggle bar next to Tagging to enable the tagging feature.
To tag someone on a Kudoboard (once it's enabled), follow these steps:
- Click Add to board at the top left of the Kudoboard.
- Enter the @ symbol.
- Start typing the username or email of the person you'd like to tag, click on their name when it populates, and select the check mark.
- If connected to Slack or Teams: The user needs to be registered with your organization's Slack or Teams account in order for their name to populate.
- If the tag notifications will be sent via email: The user needs to be registered with your organization's Kudoboard account in order for their name to populate. If the user is not yet registered with your organization, type in their name and email address and then select the check mark to proceed with tagging them in the post.
- Click Post.
After you tag someone and submit a post, the person tagged will receive a notification.
